While searching ebay this weekend, as i often do! I saw a candle keep made from an old piece of quilt, well my wheels started turning thinking i could just whip one up for myself, Here is my version, perfect little addition to a peg rack!
After seeing some bowls that Kristine had madeover on APP I decided to go through my little stash of wood bowls and make a few over for myself! No before picture, sorry, but trust me they were plain wood!
Remember this box from my last post, i have it sitting on my madeover bench, the bowls were just what i needed to fill it in!

Goodwill Finds and More
While out running a couple of errands this afternoon, I stopped by Goodwill and just lookie at what i found, If i was a collector this would diffently be the pattern i would want!! I was not a collector before today, but i may be on to something?? who knows. I really dont have a cupboard to showcase a collection in but these pieces will get good use i am sure! After getting home with these beauties i realized i own a cookie jar that is Pfalzagraff that i have had for years (also bought at a thrift store) it just doesn't have a lid. But is the same pattern, I believe this is called Village Pattern. The cashier said that these dishes have been flying off the shelf, Just imagine the treasures i missed!!! I left behind salad plates, S&P shakers, candle sticks, & lots of coffee mugs!

This and That Friday
Not much going on here at the homeplace, been making dolls and things for my selling blog. I did get out and have some much needed me time today. I went by Michaels to see what they had and found these paper mache pumpkins 80% off. I ended up paying 43 cents each!!
I went by a few thrift shops but had no luck finding anything, whine!!! I stopped by my favorite quilt shop and picked up a few fat quarters. And I also stopped by my favorite antique mall, of couse i saw lots of goodies there, but not in my budget for today! I was wanting some larger wooden bowls but no luck. I saw a set of bowls there a few weeks ago but they were no where to be seen today!
Yesterday i managed to get a makeover done, this bench had been out on my porch painted like a flag, well i really needed something to go in front the windows in the dining room and this seem to be the perfect solution as i can also use it for extra seating at the dining table. I had move things around which left this spot bare, cant have that!
